Mitchell Community Schools partnered with Wold to create a 42,500-square-foot Indoor Field House and Auxiliary Gymnasium designed to support a wide range of athletic and student activities. The completed facility provides flexible space for multiple programs, including three basketball courts with multipurpose wood flooring that can be divided with drop down nets, a multi sport practice area with netting for activities such as indoor golf and basketball training, a second level indoor track, a weight room, and a dedicated wrestling room with padded walls and floors.
During the school day, the building supports physical education classes for both middle and high school students, while evenings and weekends are dedicated to athletic practices, training, and events. The result is a highly adaptable facility that expands opportunities for student athletes and provides Mitchell Community Schools with a unique multi-sport resource within the state.
