Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) selected Wold to assist in the design of a new visitor center and facilities support buildings at the North Sterling State Park.
The goal of the project was to provide a new guest experience for visitors and improve vehicle storage and support space. The visitor center is the entry point for guests where they can gain insight into the site’s history and receive information about the park.
In addition to the visitor center, this project included the design and construction of storage facilities for maintenance and vehicles. Wold partnered with CPW to design efficient pre-engineered metal buildings to meet the specific needs of the park staff end users. The design and placement of the buildings were carefully integrated with the site to connect to existing drives, views, and trails while at the same time maximizing the use of the site for both staff and operational needs, as well as public use.
