The Minnesota Veterans Home – Bemidji project is a new State Veterans Home to be constructed in Bemidji, Minnesota, serving 72 residents in a residential skilled care model. The resident centered care model reflects a commitment to the cultural transformation of the long-term care environments.
The design embodies the principles of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA) small house design guide. Serving 72 residents in a small-house, skilled care model. Designed with 4 households of 18 residents each with private, single occupancy resident rooms with full private bathrooms, as well as living, dining, kitchen and den in each household. This new care community meets the State of MN Construction standards, B3 requirements, and the SB2030 energy conservation program.
