The City of Wray’s new City Hall and Event Center began in 2023 with visioning and programming efforts to consider potential community partnerships. After a design advisory process that included broad representation from community leaders, the project has developed into a combined facility for City Hall, the Wray Police Department, and the History Museum operated by the East Yuma County Historical Society. The planning process has also included the Wray Community Childcare Center, which will be located on the shared site with the Civic Center.
Community input and engagement from diverse stakeholders in an interactive process created a high-level of collaboration and visioning for a civic hub for all citizens. Wold has supported the City in a very integrated process, with participation in grant writing for local and federal funding and procurement of the pre-engineered metal building contractor.
