Stemming from a client referral from the neighboring community of the Village of Deer Park, Wold was hired by the Village of Long Grove to complete an initial space needs analysis and pre-design. Upon the completion of the pre-design study, our team was retained to continue with the design of an addition and remodeling of the Village Hall.
Housed in a historic structure dating back to the 1860s, and relocated in the 1970s to its current site, the Village Hall needed a modern facelift. Our team helped identify key areas for improvement which included accessibility to all office spaces, a larger board room to better serve community needs, increased separation between evening and daytime functions and enhanced employee workspaces, which included dedicated conference spaces and a break room.
Our team meticulously crafted plans to meet these the Village's needs while respecting the building’s rich heritage and Long Grove’s commitment to preserving its history for future generations. Working alongside the Village Board, Wold developed a strategy to enhance the existing structure’s longevity and charm, while seamlessly integrating new additions, including new siding, windows and more. The addition and renovation are set to complete by January 2025.
