St. Anthony Regional Hospital hired Wold to help design the renovations to its leading dialysis and obstetrics (OB) departments at its campus in Carroll, Iowa. After being selected to receive funding over a three-year period to finance the projects, design, and construction began to ensure mothers and their babies receive high-quality and accessible health care.
In addition to the much-needed improvements to the OB department, the dialysis clinic was moved from the fourth floor to the first, allowing patients to access services with greater ease. Wayfinding and navigation are improved with direct connection from the main entry, and the refreshed interior features elements found in nature, designed to create a calming environment for both patients and staff.
