The new primary school is designed to house 1,000 students in early childhood through third grade. It features separate academic neighborhoods for each grade level, fostering a nurturing school-within-a-school concept, which will enhance curriculum delivery and team-based learning. Each grade also has its own Discovery Center for art and science as well as a technology center to enhance technological experiences.
The central learning center houses 10,000 volumes and contains an inviting story area where the students can sit and enjoy reading time. The two music rooms are able to combine and form a stage which opens to the gymnasium for performances and assemblies.
Sustainable design was featured in the construction of the new school. Building materials were selected based on efficient energy use, recyclable product, low maintenance, and durability.
