Wold was hired in 2020 to assist the City of Colorado Springs with a renovation of their historic Council Chambers. The project was completed in October 2021.
An assessment and redesign were required to satisfy social distancing and safety recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and provide for future flexibility. The existing layout of the Council Chambers also had a number of functional flaws that needed to be addressed in the new design while maintaining the historic nature of the space.
The final solution of the Council chamber resulted in a re-orientation of the room to improve areas for staff, presenter(s) prominence, improved audio/visual capabilities, increase the number of audience seating in the room as well as remote broadcast to rooms used for overflow.
