Wold Architects & Engineers Colorado Collaboration

Our Philosophy

Our everyday mission is to make a difference in the communities we serve. We achieve this through a participatory design process with our clients and partners -- bringing their vision forward to create outstanding environments and outcomes. Each client has unique needs, and we believe taking the time to truly understand those needs is crucial to a project’s success. Some firms miss the mark in fostering personal relationships with clients, but we prioritize such relationships. Through long-term partnerships with rural and urban clients across the region, we have created a legacy of continued growth, innovation and client service. We are committed to delivering on a clients’ needs, no matter the distance.

Office Environment

Located on Platte Street in the heart of Denver, our historic location provides an engaging atmosphere for our team. Amidst public parks, restaurants, shops and connections to public transportation, the architecture and urban design of the LODO area offers many perks for our staff. Due to its location, many Wold staff members choose to ride bikes, walk and rollerblade to work.

Once inside, our expanding studio environment provides a motivating atmosphere for team members. The collaborative space includes resources such as a virtual reality station, three glass conference rooms, four open-air collaboration spaces, an enlarged break room, a materials library and a reception area with bike storage. Every space includes ample natural lighting, which helps to create an open environment for staff. By making our office building an exciting place to work, our team is motivated to create spaces for clients that evoke those same feelings.

Wold Architects & Engineers - Team Collaboration
We pride ourselves on an engaging culture rooted in the values of mentoring and connectedness.

Through a studio with a collaborative work environment, we encourage people to connect with those outside of who they directly work with. Our team believes that through this, we can gain additional insights from peers in our office building. Additionally, we think it is essential for new-hires to get as many industry opportunities as possible. Through our mentorship process, we’re able to grow holistically as a team and as individuals.

Wold Architects & Engineers - Colorado Team Events

Team Culture

To promote a whole-life approach to work in our office, we prioritize spending time outside of work as a team. This includes activities such as trivia nights, team picnics and attending Colorado sporting events. These enable us to get to know each other outside of the typical working environment.

"Through our team’s close-knit culture, we’ve been able to create and maintain strong rapport with each other over time."

— Artemis Ettsen, AIA

Wold Architects & Engineers - Community Outreach
Community Outreach

As a firm, we believe it is our responsibility to give back to the communities we have the privilege to work and live in every day. That is why our Denver team spends time volunteering for various charitable organizations in the community. For example, our team helps with an on-going local food drive, Sharing With Sheridan (SWS). In addition to SWS, our team also spends time with local underprivileged youth in the community to serve as academic mentors. By taking the time to work with these students, we can help inspire their professional pursuits. By understanding how top architecture firms in the US can participate in their communities, we're able to empower others.
