The expansion of the Medical Laboratory Sciences program at the Stone Family Center for Health Sciences required renovation of several existing laboratory spaces. One-third of the gross anatomy lab was converted into the main pathology lab, creating a cost-effective solution by leveraging existing systems infrastructure. The main pathology lab provides a dynamic teaching space for 24 students, featuring unobstructed views of ceiling-mounted screens from center lab benches, perimeter lab sinks and casework, and mobile lab tables with ceiling-mounted cord reels for flexible use.
Additional renovations included a classroom and a specialized microscope lab with a nine-head teaching microscope and a wall-mounted, high-resolution screen to support group discussions and instruction. Four faculty offices were also updated as part of the project, creating a fully modernized suite of teaching and research spaces for the program.
