New Albany High School needed to expand corridor space to better support its fine arts facilities. Wold developed a solution that addressed circulation and spatial constraints while creating a new media center, transforming the area into an active learning hub connected to the commons. The updated commons provide a breakout space for fine arts programs and include a satellite serving area that extends the dining facilities for students.
The media center addition was carefully integrated with the school’s front entrance, creating a seamless connection between new and existing spaces. The project was completed with minimal disruption to student activities, resulting in a functional, aesthetically cohesive environment that enhances both learning and social interaction.
