Our team was engaged by McHenry County to design the Valley Hi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s new expansion and renovation, which includes the addition of a memory care wing and a series of interior renovations. With the new memory care wing, Valley Hi further enhances its mission to provide modern facilities and critical care for its patients. The approximately 4,500-square-foot expansion includes the creation of a common area and courtyard, along with the renovation and connection of two existing hallways to enhance the overall flow of foot traffic. These renovations are intended to foster stronger connections among residents and their caretakers at the facility.
Plans for the expansion were in development since the completion of the most recent round of improvements to the Valley Hi facility in 2022, which included renovations to the therapy room and cosmetic improvements to give the campus a more contemporary feel.
