Ivy Tech Community College Southwest, originally a parochial high school built in the 1960s, underwent a comprehensive transformation guided by Wold Architects and Engineers. Working with state officials, local administrators, department heads, and technical specialists, Wold developed a flexible architectural program that supports both immediate and future needs for technical education. The design provides a professional, high-tech campus environment while accommodating growth and evolving technologies.
The renovation and expansion optimize specialized program areas, including robotics, healthcare and nursing technology, mechanical design, interior and graphic design, photography, and automotive technology. Wold carefully integrated complex technical and systems requirements into an efficient, compact design, ensuring each program has the space and infrastructure needed to meet highly specific educational and training objectives.
