Emerald Trail Elementary School in Rosemount, MN, hosted a ribbon cutting this summer to celebrate the building opening for the 2025 school year. The event marked the completion of District 196's 20th elementary school, and the project addressed the growing district's need for additional capacity for younger students. The building is arranged around a centralized media center with grade-level classroom pods branching off, and daylight is prioritized throughout the design. The design also includes dedicated space to support pre-K programming as well as specialist spaces for physical education, art, and music.
