Flossmoor School District #161 is opening a major addition at Heather Hill Elementary as part of its long-range plan to modernize facilities and enhance student experiences. Designed by Wold, the project introduces a secure entry vestibule and reconfigured main office to improve visibility and access control, alongside modernized kindergarten classrooms and new collaboration and support areas.
Exterior improvements address circulation and safety on site, while playful interior design features – including a bright yellow corridor with slanted soffits and ceiling clouds – create a vibrant welcome for students. These updates provide flexible, supportive learning spaces that strengthen safety and connection for the District’s youngest learners.
