Station No. 6 is the second fire station in the City of Franklin designed by Wold. Located on McEwen Drive at Cool Springs Boulevard, the station was built following an evaluation that determined an additional fire station was needed to serve the area east of I-65 and north of Murfreesboro Road.
Designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, the facility includes 3 apparatus bays, living quarters and general purpose areas and houses Engine 6, Tower 6, and eight firefighters. It can also serve as an emergency city hall, with a computer system providing backup for all information on the city’s main database.
