Wold partnered with the City of Crystal Lake, Illinois, to design renovations for the existing kitchen and day room at Fire Station No. 1. Since the fire station was originally constructed, the department has grown, requiring a more efficient use of the existing space to accommodate an expanded company of fire personnel.
The planned updates include all-new millwork, countertops, and appliances, along with flooring and finish enhancements. To ensure maximum efficiency and functionality, the 500-square-foot renovation includes a reconfiguration of the main working areas and improved orientation of the center island. Wold and the City of Crystal Lake stand united in their vision to not only meet, but also exceed, the evolving needs of Fire Station No. 1.
