Wold was asked to design an office suite that reflects the overall character of the College of Liberal Arts while introducing a heightened level of sophistication and stature desired by the Provost. The design intent focused on creating a strong first impression and engaging visitors from the moment they enter. Improving overall circulation into the suite was a priority, along with addressing privacy between individual offices.
The main entry area features a custom designed reception desk, a wood ceiling, and three shadow boxes displaying the College’s most valued artwork. New finish selections brighten the space through lighter materials and introduce sidelights at each office entry, bringing daylight into the main corridor. The central conference room, overlooking a prominent area of campus, includes a new conference table and seating, motorized shades, and a wet bar with updated fixtures.
