Located in the heart of downtown Evansville, the Ford Center serves as the region’s premier venue for sports and entertainment, hosting basketball, hockey, concerts, exhibitions, and other events for audiences of up to 11,000. Wold was part of the design team led by Populous and was responsible for coordinating the project’s interior details and finishes. Inspired by the natural elements of water, stone, and wood, the interior design reflects the character and resources of Southern Indiana while creating a cohesive identity for the arena. The selected finishes were durable, environmentally responsible, and thoughtfully integrated into the facility’s wayfinding and organizational system, enhancing both function and visitor experience.
