Seymour Community Schools is experiencing rapid growth and needed additional educational space to support its students. Wold was engaged to study the district’s future needs and develop a strategic plan. That study established a three-tiered approach addressing each educational level and guided the design and construction of a high school addition.
The addition includes a new kitchen and cafeteria that accommodate the growing student population while also serving as a flexible space for community events outside school hours. The project consolidates the existing split administrative suite into a single, efficient area and introduces a new secure, accessible entry. A new music suite provides much-needed space for expanding programs. Additional improvements include 20 new classrooms, reconfigured locker rooms, and an expanded Family and Consumer Science (FACS) area that supports both the program and the theater department.
