Worthington Intermediate School

Public Schools serves a fast-growing community and had run out of capacity at the elementary and middle levels. Wold and ICS partnered with the District to help pass a referendum for a new facility to remove pressure from their Middle School and Prairie Elementary School.

The New Intermediate School in Worthington welcomed students in August after years of visioning, funding, design, and construction. The building is designed to serve 900 students from grades 3-5 as a continuation of their elementary experience. It is located on the same campus as the ALC/Gymnastics Facility and the still-under-construction Community Education Facility.

Each grade-level learning community houses 12 classrooms and a flexible community area for collaboration, and student support services are located at the intersection of the grade level communities for access.
