McLeod County Law Enforcement Center

The McLeod County Law Enforcement Center additions and renovations began as a master plan aimed at understanding long-term growth at all levels of county services, expanding and modernizing the courts, and improving both customer experience and safety within the courthouse. The master plan prompted renovations that address space and safety deficiencies at the jail and adjacent courthouse.

At the law enforcement center, the public lobby of the courthouse features security improvements and weapons screening as well as improved circulation for county administration and renovated office spaces.  The design provides a private area to transfer those in custody to and from the courtrooms and judge chambers, while the jail expansion adds 18 beds to the facility and reevaluates space for the jail, providing more space for the existing program.
