DW Wilson Recreation Center

Wold provided architectural and engineering design services for facility renovations and additions. This project included the replacement of both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. An addition was designed to house a lobby, administrative offices, men’s and women’s locker rooms and a new indoor pool structure. The modifications to the indoor pool facility included new lane guides, a gutter, evacuator system, time clocks, and scoreboard. A key priority for the city was to increase the length of the indoor pool to make it competition ready. Renovations within the existing recreational center focused around the gymnasium were also included.

The recreation center includes a new outdoor zero-entry swimming pool that includes multiple water features and a lazy river, along with more facility renovations to the bathhouses and pool entrance. A portion of the recreation center was remodeled for a new concession kitchen and dining area. Additional parking was added to the site
