Dakota Meadows Middle School’s expansion includes classrooms for an additional grade level, a larger cafeteria, supplementary special education classrooms, and a new fitness classroom. The classroom addition allows for the renovation and reorganization of the adjacent Learning Commons to incorporate flexibility and collaboration goals in alignment with the new classroom wing. A new circulation desk and technology help desk support the Learning Commons. Each classroom has an operable fourth wall to open up learning into the flexible learning areas. Equipped with multiple seating options and configurations, these spaces are adaptable to the needs of students while encouraging collaboration between students and staff. The new classroom wing also includes a large flex lab capable of holding two classes simultaneously and integrates cutting-edge technology for student-led learning.
