Lakeville South High School

Lakeville Public Schools

From the onset of design, Lakeville Schools was committed to the philosophy that their new high school would serve as a model for collaboration between students, staff and the larger community. With that concept as a foundation Wold designed the core of the facility around three levels of interactive services, including administration, student services, and a multi-media center. Branching off from each level of the core are Learning Resource Areas which create interdisciplinary spaces for staff and students to collaborate outside of the classroom. Additional features of the high school include:

  • Performing Arts Center including both a 1,000 seat auditorium and black box theater
  • Community focused areas featuring a walking track, meeting rooms, lecture space, dance studio, and fitness center
  • Flexibility to organize 9th grade students within their own environment
  • Over 100 acres of athletic fields, football stadium and spectator plaza
