Meeker County Public Works

In a collaborative effort with MnDOT, Meeker County replaced their aging downtown public works facility that lacked space for current and future needs. The new facility provides substantial warm vehicle storage and mechanics repair bays for support of the current fleet. With administrative offices, locker rooms, a staff break room, mezzanine storage, a parts supply, and a sign shop, the fully equipped public works facility provides infrastructure not only for present needs but also for the future with the capacity for up to double its current size. The building keeps energy saving in mind; passive daylighting, carbon dioxide monitoring, and geothermal heating and cooling equip the facility with proper sustainability for the future.
