Wold Architects and Engineers’ Timothy McGrath, AIA, REFP is leading an expansion of the firm’s expertise in the planning and design of K-12 facilities. Based in Wold’s Illinois office, McGrath brings more than 35 years of experience with a special focus on educational design. He has been instrumental in creating many notable school buildings, from K-12 to higher education and specialty learning environments. His work includes the LEED-certified Lake Bluff Elementary School, Yale Center for Molecular Medicine, Wake Forest Graduate Business & Law School, NIU-Holmes Student Center and many others.

As a design principal, McGrath has partnered with clients to create lasting, flexible and sustainable schools that support the communities they serve. He is a Recognized Educational Facility Planner with the Council of Educational Planners International (CEFPI) and belongs to the Illinois Association of School Business Officials. McGrath studied architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Ecole d'Architecture de Versailles.
